Walking, Hiking and Outdoor Shops

Go Outdoors

New Hall St, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 5HQ, UK – 0344 387 6831

Excellent shop with all your outdoor needs. You can get outdoor clothing, camping equipment including tents, bikes, climbing kit, fishing kit, walking kit and lots lots more. The place is clean and staff are really helpful and friendly. And it's worth while getting discount card as some excellent deals. 👍👍

I will never go anywhere else to get my boots again! I normally go to this store to get my general outdoor goods, but have only ever bought one pair of boots there before. I needed boots for norway and snow and had a good budget, rather than just pointing out the expensive boots (which I have found most sales people will do if you give them a good budget) I was given several to try on and told about all of the features and differences of each one. The boots were also checked to see if they fit me properly. I am a discount card holder and thought I would google the boots I was buying to see if I could take advantage of their price match and I was able to easily and quickly get a much lower price at the till. I love the staff at this store they are always friendly and knowledgeable.

The Range, Stoke-on-Trent

104-106 City Rd, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 2PH, UK – 01782 410581

Fantastic shop .good value good and an extensive range .had some food in the cafe a toasty. It smelled taste was awful. All bits of black on the bread like the toaster needed cleaning .I only had a mouth full and left the rest. No reflection on the stall just the cafe .also staff in cafe were really nice so I did not complain x

Pretty huge homewares store. Selling most home n garden items. Good prices. Some nice house ornaments. Lots of craft type things. Oh lots of pet stuff too. They do a little bit of food items, but not a lot really. Very much non-perishable things. Some DIY tools and paint etc. Lots of framed pictures and mirrors.

Saw their stand at Hoddesdon town, bought a swing, table with two chairs and two benches and another 2chairs along with another bench and footrests. Top quality, great price and the gentleman who sold it to me was extremely helpful and polite. Would strongly recommend to anyone will definitely be buying more in the future.

WalkingWorld.jpg
Another good one. Walkingworld has huge library of guides with a good selection of walks, of varying lengths and grades, pretty well anywhere in the UK. The walks come in an excellent format making them very easy to follow, with photographs to illustrate every important decision point and a proper Ordnance Survey map.

A modist annual subscription gives you unlimited access to all the walks. However you can Pay As Go by downloading indiviual walks.

Crucially you can also find walks France, Spain, Norway, Portugal and Australia!
